My Baby
Your embryo may be the size of a mere poppy seed, but trust us, uber-important developments are already under way. This week the embryo splits into two parts. One half will become the placenta, a special tissue that delivers must-haves like nutrients and oxygen to your baby throughout your entire pregnancy. In the other half, the embryo itself continues to grow, and a sheet of cells has just begun to create the neural tube, where your baby's brain, spinal cord, and backbone will ultimately form. Taking a folic acid-packed prenatal supplement -- look for one with at least 400 micrograms per pill -- helps ensure that these organs develop properly.

Our baby
Today Jon and i found out we were pregnant, a joy that i cannot express in words! WE have been trying since the end of December, and finally God blessed us. The thought of a little baby forming inside of me is unreal! My child is being formed in my body by the grace of God. JOn said to me, "our lives will never be the same". He's right. And i'm glad! It will be even more amazing then it is now! Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us, we are thrilled beyond imagination! Love, Jon, Kristin, and the new baby being made just as we speak!
