Another addition...hmm...

We are 22 weeks pregnant, and had our "scheduled" ultrasound. They asked if we wanted to know the sex, i didn't, but said that Jon could find out (w/o me knowing) but he chose not to. The baby is doing great. They said the spine, heart, kidneys, everything looked great. I am finally starting to look pregnant, and i am so excited. We have a video of the utlrasound, but i'm not sure if i can load it on here. We are now starting on the nursery. And in a moment of complete insanity i told JOn he could get a hunting dog, so JOY ! (she says sarcastically, haha). So we will have another addition! Yeah i know i'm crazy lol. I haven't really felt the baby kick yet, the doctor said it was because the placenta is blocking it i guess. But soon i wll!

14 weeks, what a high!

We are 14 weeks now. I have been feeling great! I'm not in maternity clothes yet, can't wait till i start showing! =) Last night though had to be the best "high" ever! We had our fourth appointment, and we were sitting talking to the doctor, and i asked him when i would start feeling the baby inside. He said oh, maybe in about four weeks or so. I was like, oh shucks. He laughed and he said "you want to see that baby move, lets go". I was like, what? He said, "lets go take a look at that baby." He's as excited as we are! haha. I said, we don't need to, he said, your special, lets go. So we go into the room, and puts the jelly on my belly, and flips the switch, and oh my goodness what a rush!! We saw our little baby moving like crazy! I had jokingly said before that i wanted to see the little hand waving, and as soon as i saw the baby, those little hands started moving. WE saw ten fingers, toes, two legs, two arms, it was amazing. The baby sucked their thumb moved up and down. I just can't explain it, it was amazing! =) I never knew you felt this much excitement just looking at this little three inch baby moving inside you! It truly is a miracle! Wow, i have a looooooooooooong ways to go, haha.

The second visit...

We are about ten weeks along now. Our baby has arms legs, toes, fingers, he/she can bend them now. He/she is a little less then an inch long, which amazes me!! I have been pretty sick this last week, puking and all that, good times. But it also excites me because i know that means the baby is ok. Today at the doctor's visit, he said "Let's try to hear the heartbeat with a sonogram." SO we did and we heard it!! It was amazing. He then compared it to my heartbeat which was much slower, and then tried to find the baby's again, and said "where are you pumpkin, your hiding." It was quite cute!! He found it again and it just fascinates me! I keep having these dreams that i've had the baby and it's a girl, LOL. GUess we'll find out in seven months!!

The first ultrasound

We had to go in for an ultrasound because i've had some bleeding. I didn't expect to really hear anything b/c the doc said we probably wouldn't hear the heartbeat until 11 weeks. We started the ultrasound, and the lady said here's your baby, everything seems to look fine, and all the sudden she turns on the sound, and i hear this beating, i asked if it was my heart beat, she said nope, that's your baby's. It was a very neat moment! Everything looks fine, i just have some old blood in there that's coming out.

Our First Appointment

Today we had our first appointment, and it was so exciting. We had a little scare, i started to bleed a little bit, and it really scared me. But after being scared and upset for a few days, i just gave it to GOd. WHy is it we can trust God in the little things of life, but when it comes to actually trusting Him in the big things, we try to do it ourselves. There still is no guarantee that nothing will go wrong, but i did just learn to take joy in this pregnancy each day and not worry about it every day. It's easier said then done, and while your in that situation it's definately hard. But doable. Today the doctor was so great, i really like our obgyn. They ran through all these questions with me. Do you have this disease? no This one? no THis one? no, Do you smoke, do drugs, drink.....blah blah....... uhhhh no. Then the doctor says, you are such a breath of fresh air. I was so touched by his comment, but yet so sad that they even have to ask all that. Then he asked me if we would want to test to see if our baby would have any abnormalities. I said, what's the point, i 'm not going to love that baby any less, or do anything else about it. He just smiled, and said good. I was surprized by all these questions. He said it was mandatory. Anyways today it felt like a step towards the next nine months. He said everything looked great, and in place. We were so excited after our appointment. Every woman can experience pregnancy, but it's also different with each one, and exciting in different ways for each woman. My doctor said to me, isnt' it exciting to go through this with your husband and knowing a little you will be here soon. And it's true. I'm thankful for Jon, who he is as a man, and a husband. We are so blessed!
